WWW.NETWORKS to carry out telecom scope of ADCO Bu Hasa South Gas Lift Pilot Project

Frames Energy Systems BV, an established and specialised Oil & Gas EPC contractor from the Netherlands has selected WWW.NETWORKS as the telecommunications sub-contractor for the Bu Hasa South Gas Lift Pilot Project in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) is the onshore oil company of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) group.

ADCO currently uses water injection techniques to lift crude oil from the ground and they are facing water problems in the South Bu Hasa area. The project awarded to Frames Energy Systems is to implement a pilot project at 13 oil wells using a gas injection method.

The telecommunication system awarded to WWW.NETWORKS involves the Design, Engineering, Supply, Systems Integration, Installation and Commissioning of an integrated SDH and access multiplexer equipment from GE Multilin of Canada. The GE TN1Ue STM-1/4 SDH Integrated Access Multiplexer will provide the communication channels for all SCADA and voice communication. A GPS based synchronization clock will ensure that timing is maintained at an accurate level.

All the communication equipment will be housed in passively cooled shelters to protect them from the harsh environment at the different block valve stations.
