3W Networks to provide telecommunication support services for Yemen LNG Project
Yemen LNG is a 3.7 billion dollar project and the shareholders include Total LNG, Hunt Oil, Yemen Gas Company, SK Corporation, Korea Gas Corporation, Hyundai Corporation and the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions.
Yemen LNG is a fully integrated project from Gas Production to LNG exports. The gas is located at the Marib block 18 which is 320 kms away from the port city of Belhaf, on the Gulf of Aden.
3W Networks has been selected to provide Telecommunication Support Services for the Pipeline Network via an annual maintenance contract.
The Pipeline Communications Network is built around the OTN Systems multiplexer from Belgium. The multiplexer provides the projects Voice and SCADA requirements between the Central Processing Unit, Kamil Processing Unit, Block Valve Stations and the terminal at Belhaf.
3W Networks will provide Support Services to Yemen LNG via its 24/7 Technical Assistance Center (TAC) located in the Gulf region. The scope of the maintenance contract includes Telephone Support and Remote Dial up of the management system employed by Yemen LNG. 3W Networks will also provide at site maintenance support using its expert staff within the scope of the service level agreement.
3W Networks was selected because of its experience in maintaining similar networks in Oman, Qatar and the UAE. 3W Networks is a regional partner of OTN Systems and has trained experts in the design, installation, commissioning and support of OTN products.
