3W Networks to provide powerful Telecommunication Systems to DEWA

Dubai UAE – Jazeera Emirates Power (JEP) selected industry leading System Integrator, 3W Networks, to establish the Telecommunication Systems of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) new substations in Pearl Dubai and EMAAR and to upgrade the existing substations in Najma, Al Quoz Land and Chicago Beach substations.

3W Networks partnered with Europe’s leading Optical transmission equipment manufacturers to provide powerful telecommunication network by using advanced SDH Optical Line Terminal Equipment STM-4/16/64 intended to be used for Voice and Facsimile communication, Tele-protection signalling, Data Transmission, Substation and Monitoring control system and Relay Management Access. This project also requires modification and upgrade of the Telephony Systems including installation of PCM Multiplex equipment to deliver a range of access interfaces for telephony, tele-protection, data and LAN.

The scope of work called for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the DEWA substations.

3W Networks was selected because of its strong Local Engineering Presence and Capability to provide complete and integrated telecom solutions for power and utility sectors.
