3W Networks to execute New Generation SDH Fibre Optic Transmission System for substations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
3W has been awarded the telecommunication scope for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) construction of Salboukh 380/132kV BSP Project.
Salboukh a town in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is undergoing an extensive development project which involves construction of residential complex, commercial complex, roads and infrastructure, public park, sewerage network, shopping centre, school complex and an equestrian centre.
The telecommunication scope of work includes Detailed Design, Engineering, Procurement, Systems Integration, Factory Acceptance Test and Installation and Commissioning of SDH Fibre Optic Transmission system and Data / Voice Multiplexers, Local Area and Wide Area Networks.
3W will provide a complete integrated New Generation SDH STM-16, upgradeable to STM-64, Fibre Optic Transmission System designed to support circuit requirements for telecommunications, protection relays interface equipment, SAS/SCADA and LAN/WAN data connectivity. The new SDH equipment and interfaces will be fully compatible with the existing SEC Communication Backbone Network.
