3W Networks awarded the Telecommunication Network Upgrade of Fire & Gas System in Qatar
The region’s premier System Integrator, 3W Networks, has been awarded the implementation of the Telecommunication Network Upgrade for Fire and Gas Systems in Dukhan Township, State of Qatar.
Dukhan Field is located approximately 80km west of Doha is an area comprising of process plants, oil, gas and water injection wells and pipelines. It is split up into five (5) production operating zones- Gas Recycling Plant, Khatiyah- Dukhan Township, Fahahil, Jaleha and Diyab.
The project in Dukhan Township aims to modernize the existing GSM based network infrastructure of the centralized Fire and Gas surveillance system with a fibre optic based ring infrastructure. 3W Networks will provide ruggedized Telecom Switches, Uninterrupted Power System (UPS) and a complete integrated New Generation SDH STM-16 network to enable superfast and reliable broadband performance to connect the existing Fire Alarm Control Panel stations to a centralized monitoring system at Dukhan Fire Station. The scope of work called for the engineering, design, system integration, testing, commissioning and training.
