3W Networks to deliver Telecom Solutions for DEWA Substations at Jumeirah Island 2, City Walk and DWTC
The region's premier System Integrator, 3W Networks, was recently selected to implement the Telecommunication Systems of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Substations located at Jumeirah Island 2, City Walk and Dubai World Trade Center.
3W Networks will use first-rate Optical Transmission equipment from leading European manufacturers to provide a powerful telecommunication network by using advanced Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Optical Line Terminal Equipment STM-4/16/64 for Telephony, Tele-protection signalling, alarms, Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS), Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV), Relays Integration Monitoring and Voice and Facsimile Communication.
The scope of work called for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the DEWA substations.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January 1992, to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently.
