3W Networks to deliver Telecommunication System for North Eastern BAB Oilfield Development Project in UAE
Abu Dhabi Company of Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO), a major oil and gas producing and operating company in the United Arab Emirates, awarded 3W Networks the delivery of the Telecommunication System for North Eastern BAB (NEB) Rumaitha and Shanayel Oilfied Phase III Development Project.
The North East Bab (NEB) is located 31 km from the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. The area comprises three producing fields: Al Dabb’iya, Rumaitha, and Shanayel, and one undeveloped culmination: Jumaylah. The Al Dabb’iya field lies on a coastal shallow and deep marine area, while the Rumaitha and Shanayel fields lie onshore. The developed fields cover an area greater than 1,400 km2.
The project award includes the upgrade of SDH Network for Rumaitha Industrial area which has the Central Processing Plant (CPP), Clusters and Remote Wells, and the delivery of Telecommunication, Safety and Security System for Rumaitha / Shanayel Facilities Phase III Development. The scope of work includes project design, engineering, supply, factory and site acceptance testing and commissioning.
3W Networks having the expertise in Optical Networks transmission system will replace the existing SDH STM-4 legacy equipment with new generation SDH located at Rumaitha oilfield to empower superfast broadband performance and cater to future connectivity requirements. Installation of an advanced interactive Network Management System based on graphical user interface to easily perform monitoring, troubleshooting and traffic circuit provisioning operations is also required.
The NEB Rumaitha and Shanayel Oilfied Phase III Development Project involves integration of essential comprehensive telecommunication, safety and security systems consisting of SDH, PAGA, Telephone, CCTV, Data LAN Network, UHF Radio, Access Control and CCTV Systems.
