3W Networks selected as Systems Integrator for Qatar Petroleum GDS SCADA Upgrade Project (GSUP)

3W Networks, the regions premier Systems Integrator, was awarded the Qatar Petroleum Gas Distribution System (GDS) SCADA Upgrade Project covering Mesaieed, Doha, and Ras Laffan area.

The GDS which is controlled and monitored by a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System consists of facilities and pipelines networked together for the transmission as well as distribution of the gas to various customers including Qatar Petroleum’s internal consumptions. The advancement of technology has rendered the need to replace the existing network to improve reliability and performance of the GDS Stations.

3W Networks expertise in communication backbone systems will upgrade and integrate the existing Synchronous Data Hierarchy (SDH) System to a powerful telecommunication network using the most advanced SDH Node to support circuit bandwidth requirements for telecommunications, SAS/SCADA and LAN/WAN data connectivity systems.

The telecommunication scope of work includes Detailed Design, Engineering, Procurement, Systems Integration, Installation, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, and Commissioning.
