3W Networks to implement Telecom Solutions for DEWA Substation at Bluewater Island
The region’s premier System Integrator, 3W Networks, was recently selected to implement the Telecommunication Systems of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Substations for the Bluewater Development Project located off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coastline.
The Bluewater Island project destined to be one of the largest tourist hot spots in the world will include retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zone. It will feature Dubai Eye, a 210-metre tall giant Ferris wheel, set to be the tallest in the world when completed.
3W Networks will use first-rate Optical Transmission equipment from leading European manufacturers to provide a powerful telecommunication network by using advanced Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Optical Line Terminal Equipment STM-4/16/64 for Telephony, Tele-protection signalling, alarms, Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS), Relays Integration Monitoring and Voice and Facsimile Communication.
The scope of work called for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the substation.
