Larsen & Toubro selects 3W Networks as Telecoms & Security Systems Integrator

Larsen & Toubro Limited, one of the largest and most respected companies in India's private sector has selected 3W Networks as its Telecom & Security Systems Integrator for the Gas Supply to Station V and Facility C (GSVC) project. The end user is Qatar Petroleum.

The scope of work for the Telecoms and Security Systems Integrator includes the Detailed Design, Engineering, Procurement, System Integration, Factory Acceptance Testing, Installation and Commissioning of an STM-16 SDH optical transmission network and access equipment to support voice and data signals of the SCADA network to new and existing stations. The Security System includes implementing a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) network using fixed and PTZ cameras and an Access Control System using Prowatch.

3W Networks is to supply equipment from its established partners including Nokia Siemens Networks for the transmission and Pelco for the CCTV, the Prowatch access control will be procured from Honeywell. The equipment is to be fully integrated with Qatar Petroleum's existing telecom and security network.

The award of the GSVC telecom and security work by Larsen & Toubro demonstrates 3W Networks' ability to provide a multidisciplinary integrated solution in the area of Telecom and Security.
